step into the unknown to truly know thyself

Thursday, September 13, 2007, 10:17 PM PST [General]

Recently I traveled across country. From California to Mass. My grown daughter and I drove her small, non-airconditioned car through the desert and the plains, over mountain ranges and across bridges, through cities and field of sunflowers, but most importantly, through our fears and tested our limits. How do we ever truly know of our powers, the powers of the earth, of our nature and the universe unless we remove ourselves from the comfortable and well known surroundings and test our faith in ourselves and in the feel of the grass, the heat of the desert, the coolness of the rain, the wonder of the sunflowers bowing to the sun, the sound of the creatures of the night, the power of the waterfall, the gentleness of the breeze and the joy of sharing with a loved one. May each of us have the chance and the leap of faith to take such a journey.

Oh what a dream come true, I have always wanted to travel like that... I would of sat on the edge of the road for hours just watchng those sunflowers blow in the wind.. to see the desert, (but must have AC, lol, I can take the heat, but wow, to hot, but then again that heat may be different than the summer heat here in Ohio) Oh and the mountains, awe, such beauty I bet that was... the mountains have a magickal affect on me, I would love to retire in the mountains with a body of water or stream as my neighbor. Such a lovely experience for you to share that with your daughter.... Your one lucky mom.... and of course your daughter is as lucky to spend it with her mom too. That is one thing I try to do with my grandson, to make an ever lasting memory for him, cause I will not be on this earth forever... Blessings....
