Thanks for It All

In this world of chaos and war, of famine and blight, of hate and intolerance why should we be thankful? Recently someone inquired of me "If I am so sad, why should I be happy?" Be happy, be thankful, that you know you are sad and relish the opportunity to really feel your feelings. To know them and embrace them. All of your feelings. The ones that make you feel content, the ones that frustrate you and the ones that make you cry. In my profession I see too many people who have shut out their feelings and then live in a world of their own making. A world without true laughter or true tears. A very lonely place. My daughter recently wrote an essay about witchcraft as the search for cause and effect, as a way of understanding (and I believe engaging) our surroundings and ourselves. The natural and the magickal world reminds us each day that life maintains a balance and within that circle one finds both deep sadness and deep joy. This week we in the States celebrate a national holiday of thanksgiving. Let us give thanks for the fullness of life and the opportunity to FEEL all that life has to offer. Blessed Be. ellen

I can agree wholeheartedly. It is a shame that so many people miss the oppurtunity to experience life in all its forms. Soul |
